Glossopdale Freemasons Lodge is based in the centre of Glossop and includes members who live locally and some who have other links with the town. The Freemasons Hall on Henry Street is Where We Meet and all get together.
Along with our families and friends we enjoy the formality and the many social activities that make it a fun and an enjoyable society to be a part of. One of the important aspects of Freemasonry are the values and traditions that have been preserved over its many years. Freemasonry has clearly moved with the times but its principles and beliefs remain unchanged.
While Freemasonry has its branches spread across the world, Glossopdale Lodge has its roots deeply ingrained in the community we live and work in. Our members come together from all walks of life to enjoy a social and friendly environment. We are the fourth oldest Lodge in Derbyshire and have a long and proud History.
Fund raising through charitable donations is one of our key objectives and we pride ourselves on Helping Others. Recently we have contributed to Glossop Age Concern, 2 local sports clubs needing new equipment, Bradbury Community House near the market ground, The Partington Theatre and Glossop Food bank. We are currently providing financial support in the fight against Covid-19 both locally through the Whitfield Project and on a wider scale with Freemasons throughout the world.
